[REVIEW] Olay Complete Care

Hello hello ^^
I noticed that the last review was appreciated (Some of our friends actually said they gave the e.l.f. primer a chance and ordered from the site :D) and even though we haven't posted in a while, today I am going to do another review. This time I will tell you about Olay Complete Care Day UV Cream for Normal/Dry skin.

The cream has a thick, soft consistency and smells wonderful.
It has perfume in it, which can be a skin irritant, so it's not recommended for sensitive skin.
 The texture is good for dry skin, but not for oily skin because it can leave an oily, sticky feeling. Totally not the effect you would want.
It has SPF 15, great sun protection, even on winter days.

It might take a while for it to be absorbed into your skin.
When I bought it the package said "Healthier looking skin in only 5 days". I didn't try it for so long, but it really had an effect. I have oily skin, therefore I didn't use it more than 2 days in a row, but I gave it to my mom and she loves it. Also, she feels like she can trust the brand because it's getting famous in our country.

The reason why I bought this cream in the first place was the small number of skin-irritant ingredients, which means that, when used for a longer period of time, it is not as damaging as others. I know it sound scary, but it's a known truth that you must chose your cosmetics wisely if you want youthful looking skin for a longer period of time.

So, if you have Normal/Dry skin (I would go for drier skin actually), I totally recommend this day cream.

[REVIEW] ELF Eye Primer

I never realized the importance of an eye primer until I actually bought one. Not knowing better, I trusted the e.l.f. brand and bought a cheap one that promised quality. I can say it couldn't be better. As you may know, primer is a very important part of your make-up, whether it's a natural make-up or something more extravagant. The primer basically protects your skin and helps the colour last. If that wasn't enough, it also makes the colours more intense.
I tried two shades of primer, a skin coloured one, 7501 Sheer and a white one 7503 Pearl. I didn't know which one was better for which type of make-up, but I suppose it depends on the colour tones you're using.

I think the Sheer one blends nicely with your skin colour and it's good for natural make-up or when using warm colours. It's barely noticeable, but it's there, I can tell you that.

The Pearl is a bit shimmerish and it's noticeable. It's not very strong, so it shouldn't affect your make-up, but I think it's not that suitable for a natural or warm colours make-up as the Sheer one. That doesn't mean that if you use it for a natural look it will affect it.

And when you apply the eye-shadow you can see that the difference is huge! Look how intense and beautiful the colour looks when you use primer under it. Besides, the primer doesn't allow the colour to affect your skin that badly and it also protects from other microparticles that may penetrate your skin.
If you need an eye primer that is not expensive and can also guarantee you the quality, I totally recommend the e.l.f. brand.

Happy New Year everyone!

Must-Have Item: The Motorcycle (Biker) Jacket

Heyo~
First! Y'all need, no, must listen to this. It's a preview to Aziatix's new song, me and Bia are totally in love with this band.
Second. . . carrying on with the post.
As you already know (yup, the title) this post is about the one and only motorcycle jacket (or leather jacket). This item is extremely versatile and badass, but also really fun to wear because you can mix it with almost anything from skirts/dresses to high heels and skinny jeans. For me, I'd wear it with normal jeans, because I have a large waist (and butt xD), skinny jeans don't look really good on me, a plain, white t-shirt and a pair of boots, most likely army boots. Uhm, this is kinda my style :3 Oh yeah! If your body is narrow on the upper half and wide on the lower half, don't wear skinny jeans, they'll most likely make you look a bit chubby. So! If your body is like this try wearing straight-cut jeans, because they give a better form to you body.

Going back to the jacket now. . .

The motorcycle jacket was a really famous item in the '80, a lot of people owned one and it kinda made them look more badass. These days, the jacket made a really cool comeback as now it has a more modern feeling to it. They look great on everyone because they adapt to the body shape, but that's only if you get the right size to fit you. They're almost never out of fashion.
Since a lot of people don't really know how to choose a motorcycle jacket and just buy the first one they see, I'll give a few tips to keep in mind when you buy a jacket:

1 - make sure it fits and that it's not too lose or too tight. For this you need to check the shoulders, if the cut is too high, then the jacket is too small, but if the cut is too low, then the jacket is too big (this is something you should keep in mind everytime you buy a jacket/cardigan/blouse, basically anything with sleeves);
2 - always take someone with you when you buy a motorcycle jacket to double-check that it fits and looks good on you;
3 - the motorcycle jacket looks best when it's on the hip or just a bit higher, but not too high (that's why you need to take someone with you);
4 - they come in different colors (the modern feeling I was talking about earlier) from purple to red and white, so choose wisely and by choosing wisely I mean choose according to your wardrobe/style.
5 - lastly, a motorcycle jacket is not complete unless it has zippers, studs and other ornaments to give it that badass feel.

Now I'll show you a few ways to wearing a biker jacket. Enjoy~
(credit as tagged, we do not own the photos)

First on, baby CL. I simply love how she wears the biker jacket, because she has an edgy style and almost all of her jackets are WOW!

                           Another adorable lady that likes to wear biker jackets is Park Sandara.
To finish off, I give you. . .cutie/hottie Taeyang.

And like I said, you can wear it with skirts/dresses too

Now if you excuse me, I got some things to do.

First post + style tips: animal prints

Hey, I'm Rin, some know me from here (my personal blog which I need to update, damn it!) and some just got to know me now. This is my first post on Starlike so be gentle, I'm not like Bia and Lex, I'm really awkward.
So! My first post will be about style/fashion (name it how you want) and to be more specific, about animal prints (just like the title says). I'm not an expert when it comes to fashion, but I'll try my best! ^^

I really like her outfit, it respects most of the 'rules' that wearing animal prints require.

Le 'rules':
1st rule: one print at a time (available for all prints)
- wear just ONE print at a time. Since prints stand out a lot, the best thing to do is keep the rest simple. If the upper/bottom part of the body has a print you must use one simple/plain color on the other half (usually a color that is in the print, close to it or dark).

2nd rule: wear black and white (or dark and light colors)
- if you're wearing an animal printed dress make sure your shoes and bag are black. If you're wearing other items that are animal printed it's best for the rest of the outfit to be black and/or white. You can wear a white shirt only if the pants/jacket (blazer, cardigan) is animal printed. Why black and white? It makes you and your outfit stand out more. You can use colors close to the prints, but make sure they go together well or else you'll end up looking like a real animal.

(not the best photo of GD, but he's just so derp in this one I had to! xD)

3rd rule: keep it simple
- like the 2nd rule states, wear dark/light colors with animal prints. Don't even think about mixing animal prints with other prints or else you'll end up looking like a fashion victim. Keep it simple!

4th rule: animal printed shoes
- this one is also related to black/dark colors. If you wear animal printed shoes the rest of your outfit has to be black/really dark colored. Only exception is for accessories which can be brown/gold to loosen up the outfit.

Both Kate Moss and her assistant are wearing animal printed shoes with black outfits.

Lucy Liu's shoes are somewhat unique, but match well with her black dress.

Key thing in wearing animal prints: light and dark outfits. Black and white are not the 'only' colors that can be used, but it's best to wear these two.

Merry Christmas everyone!
